In 1978, William Lau and his wife Lucille left California to preach the Gospel to the unreached people living in the primitive darkness of West Borneo. A Christian for just two years, with no formal training for missions work, no mission board or church to send or support them, no missionary visa and no idea what to do after they arrived, they trusted God to lead them. But God was enough. He miraculously opened doors for them to "dance on the edge of the earth" for nine years. By His grace, they led to Christ many souls bound in the grip of sorcery, idol-worship and false religion. They witnessed powerful signs and wonders, making disciples and planting churches in areas which had lived under the complete domination of demonic strongholds. Dancing on the Edge of the Earth is the you-can’t-put-it-down account of the mountain peaks and valleys they experienced as they followed Jesus to the ends of the earth. |

Meet The Author
|
William & Lucille have ministered full-time since 1978 as missionaries to unreached areas in Indonesia, local pastors in the United States, evangelists, and now teachers and equippers. Their ministry, The Elijah Challenge, has taken them to six continents of the world, equipping the Church effectively to reach Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Catholics, and those who practice or believe in witchcraft. God has entrusted to them the ministry of teaching present-day disciples how to heal the sick and cast out demons as Jesus taught and commanded His disciples when He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God. The miraculous healings performed by these trained disciples prove to the lost that Jesus has authority to forgive sin and that He is the only way to the Father. The Elijah Challenge has been accepted by both charismatic as well as by some Baptist groups. William and Lucille were married in New York City in 1974. They have three grown daughters---Esther, Sarah, and Christina---all of whom were born while they were pioneer missionaries in Indonesia. |
